Counseling for AdultsHaving a child who is struggling with life skills, is not his or her self at the moment, or is different and unique can be challenging, exhausting and sometimes painful.
Parents often ask themselves: how much do I support, how much do I push, what is normal, how can I help, is it MY fault? It can be helpful at those times to talk to an experienced counsellor and educator, someone who can provide guidance and ideas about how to deal with these challenges. |
Services
A session may include the sharing of parenting advice, clarity about what a specific diagnosis (such as dyslexia) actually means, strategies for talking with other professionals such as the school teachers and administrators, or address specific questions, about how to cope, and what these challenges bring up in you.
Parent sessions are an essential part of any support when working with a child. Whether it involves one intake session, or an ongoing journey, the aim will be for you to feel you are again able to cope with supporting the needs of your child.
