Learning Support for Expat Children with Dyslexia & Dyscalculia

Specialised Intervention in Reading and Math | The Hague & Online

For expat families navigating international education systems, discovering that your child is struggling with reading, writing, or math can feel overwhelming—especially when you're far from familiar support networks. At DreamKids™, we provide specialised academic intervention for expat children with dyslexia, dyscalculia, and learning challenges, helping them build confidence and succeed in school.

Dyslexia Support for Expat Children

If your child has been diagnosed with dyslexia, or shows signs of difficulty in reading, decoding, or spelling, early and structured intervention is key.
We offer targeted, research-based instruction using the Wilson Reading System, a multi-sensory, structured literacy program designed for children with dyslexia and other language-based learning difficulties.

Through synthetic phonics, students learn to decode words, build fluency, and regain confidence in their reading abilities. This approach is especially helpful for bilingual or multilingual expat children who may face additional language learning challenges in international schools.

Dyscalculia & Math Support for International School Students

Is your child falling behind in math or struggling with number sense and basic operations? We provide personalized support for children with:
  • Dyscalculia
  • Significant math delays
  • Math anxiety
  • At risk of failing their IGCSE or GCSE exams

We systematically rebuild foundational skills and help your child catch up, keep up, or prepare for exams using proven, step-by-step strategies. Lessons are adapted to support different learning styles and reduce anxiety around numbers and tests.

What to Expect: Assessment & Tailored Support

Before starting, we will conduct a brief academic assessment or review an existing psycho-educational report to identify your child’s specific needs and learning profile.

Your child’s customized plan may include:
  • Remediation of foundational reading or math skills
  • Support with current classwork and homework
  • Study and exam preparation for international curricula (e.g. IGCSE)
  • Tools for managing attention, anxiety, and executive function challenges
