I am a Scottish/Dutch bi-lingual counsellor and educator. Since 2011 I have worked in a private practice here in The Hague with children with emotional and educational needs, and their parents. I work from my practice in Benoordehout, at schools such as the BSN, and on-line.
Previous to this, I worked as a school counsellor at the American International School in Vienna and the International School of Bangkok, and as a special needs teacher at the International School of Bangkok and the International School of London. I have extensive training in counselling (Undergraduate in Psychology, and a Masters in School counselling) and education (PGCE in primary education and a Masters in Special Needs Education) While in Thailand, an interest in more holistic approaches was born and a trip through India led me to pursue courses in Reiki, and meditation. In Austria, I completed the 4-year Barbara Brennan School of Healing professional training, and I have been certified as a Sapphire Practitioner by Dr. Catherine Shainberg at the School of Images. Together with the Dr. Catherine Shainberg, I am developing a new program called DreamKids™. It is a pioneering program about using imagery and dreamwork to support kids with challenges.
