Active Parenting Classes at BSN - JSL Autumn 2023
Active Parenting is coming to BSN!
WHAT is Active Parenting? Active Parenting is an American 6-week interactive course designed for parents and legal guardians of junior school children. The course is facilitated by Sheona McEwan, a trained and experienced school counsellor.
WHO should attend? The programme complements a variety of parenting approaches, and all BSN junior school parents are welcome regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, age, family situation, nationality, gender, or sexual orientation. Parents may attend as a couple or individually. The course is taught in English.
WHY will this be a worthwhile experience for me? The programme offers relevant information and practical strategies for parenting issues such as discipline & redirecting misbehaviour, cooperation & communication, character-building, and supporting children for school success. The goal is for parents to become comfortable using these techniques to strengthen their parent-child relationship while also providing their children the opportunity to become responsible, confident, and engaged members of their family and community. And we promise to have some fun!
